Confirmation of the Founders

The main IBOVAL indexation has just been published for the Charolais breed. It reports on the confirmation of genomic predictions on progeny, particularly for young bulls marketed 18 months earlier. In addition, as with all indexations, this is an opportunity to compare the genetic levels of bulls by GD and to confirm the directions taken by the genetic program.

Change in Calving Ease & Vitality Proofs

Since December 2024 release, the French proofs had an important change. The sire calving ease , calving abilities of daughters and vitality indexes have been changed. They were usually expressed as a percentage and are now expressed centred with a genetic standard deviation of 1,with a basis between -2 and +2.
